Fundamentals of MTB Skills Clinic

Latinas en Bici is excited to offer our clinic “Fundamental MTB Skills.” During the clinic, we will cover a pre-ride bike check, body positioning, pedal positions, bike/body separation, braking, shifting and more! 

This clinic is only for women who are interested in learning to mountain bike. Maybe you have already tried mountain biking a couple of times, and you want to improve your skills. Or maybe you have been joining our road rides and you’re looking to try something new! Either way, you are welcome! 

Like we do at all of our programs, we strive to create a safe and welcoming learning space. 

Skill and Fitness Requirements: 

You must have experience riding a bike on paved surfaces.

Participants should be able to stand on level pedals.

Participants need to be able to ride for at least 45 mins. 

What do you need to participate?

A mountain bike in good working condition

Well-fitted helmet

Water and snacks

Closed toe shoes

Additional safety gear (you may prefer to ride with gloves, knee pads, and/or other gear)

Our clinic will take place outdoors. Come prepared to stand in the elements. 

Cancellation and Weather Policy: In the event of inclement weather, we will cancel the clinic and notify registered participants. Please arrive 15 mins early to ensure we start on time.
