Olivia Barraza
Olivia Barraza was born in Gómez Palacio, Durango, Mexico, and moved to Bentonville, Arkansas, in 1988. As a mother of four sons, she has built her life around family, hard work, and community. Her professional journey began at Tyson Foods and later continued with a 20-year career at Walmart, where she gained extensive experience and a strong work ethic. Olivia began riding bikes in 2016 and quickly noticed the lack of representation for her community in the cycling world. Determined to create change, she founded Latinas en Bici in 2019—a nonprofit dedicated to improving the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of Latina women through biking, education, and community connection. Under her leadership, Latinas en Bici has grown into a movement that fosters inclusivity, promotes health, and builds bridges across cultures. Olivia’s story reflects resilience, dedication, and vision—qualities she continues to pour into creating opportunities for women of all ages to thrive, ride, and connect.
